Storm King Art Center

Craving a unique mix of nature and art? Storm King Art Center, located at 1 Museum Rd, New Windsor, NY 12553, is a 500-acre outdoor sculpture park in the Hudson Valley, an oasis of creativity and tranquility.

Storm King boasts large-scale sculptures from famed artists like Alexander Calder and Louise Bourgeois. I love how the sculptures are all harmoniously integrated into the landscape. You can really take your time wandering through meadows, trails, and woodlands to discover these striking works of art.

Pro Tips:

Wear comfy shoes- there is a lot of walking

Pack a picnic- the food inside the park is quite pricey, but there are plenty of lovely spots to picnic at, It would honestly be a shame not to take advantage of the beautiful scenery

Check the weather before you go- 99% of the exhibitions are outside

Also, if you are like me and want to save a little $$$, you can get FREE entry passes to Storm King from your local library! You just “check out” an admissions pass, which includes free admission for two adults and all children under 18 living in the same household. Check out the pass on the day you plan to visit and show it at the admissions booth for free entry.
